We do not only look for global coverage but also for a complementary full package of

logistic services and healthy competition in each specific area of our network.

HOW TO BECOME A FREIGHT LOUNGE MEMBER ?

We also feel that it is of the utmost importance that each and every member of The Freight Lounge Network contribute and participate actively in the Network. In order to apply for Freight Lounge Network membership, you are required to complete our standard application form. Your company will then be screened not only for financial stability, but also for the specifics of your organization. Your application will be thoroughly screened and checked for references. Our background check will be completed with a credit check. After approval of your application, and payment of the membership fee, your company details will be submitted to the Network database profile and will be accessible for all members. We will also send all network members an introduction to your company.

CRITERIA FOR BEING A FREIGHT LOUNGE NETWORK MEMBER

  • You must be an Independent Freight Forwarder.
  • Your company must have a minimum history of at least 3 years.
  • Must have a financial adequate solvency.
  • Pass our thorough credit check.
  • Cannot have more than three branch offices.
  • Submit three references on three different continents to account for your track record.
  • Submit to the standards, requirements and qualifications of the Freight Lounge Network.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM A FREIGHT LOUNGE NETWORK MEMBER

  • Contribute to the Network with ideas and information that will allow us to improve our Network and maintain the highest level of service within the Network.
  • Uphold the quality standard of operating that the Network or members of the Network set in both commercial and operational matters.
  • Uphold the payment /credit terms that are set by Network or it members.
  • Answer enquiries from fellow members quickly and politely.
  • Report any irregularities, either financially or operationally, in conducting business with Network members or third parties.
  • Attendance of our Global meeting venues (at least once a year).
  • Respect the International rules and regulations of conducting business with foreign countries. To not be involved in any illegal activity, such involvement would lead to immediate termination of the Membership.
  • Be open to new ideas and the implementation of technology.
